Sharapova's 2004 record braking season
cicada
Early in 2004 Masha burst into the world’s top 20 tennis players. She came to the quarterfinals at Roland Garros. Then came a series of non-stop winning on the grass court. First Maria won women’s singles and doubles at the tournament in Birmingham, and three weeks later she was able to fulfill her dream. On July 3rd, 2004, she won Wimbledon, having beaten in the final round the twice champion of this competition Serena Williams! This victory allowed Masha to become the 8th racket of the world. And we are positive that this isn’t her limit.
